Nice and Chagall Musee

Salut! I started weekly French lessons yesterday, I’m soo excited. Mon professuer, Nadine, is lovely and very patient:) She owns a well run language school here in Beaulieu-sur-Mer (Beaulieu Riviera Language Center) I left my class and stopped for a little window shopping and to my delight I actually understood the price quoted to me!! Lessons paying off, Yay! People here are very kind, this is very quiet, busy town and I am enjoying my time here very much.

I created a video on my visit to Nice and Marc Chagall National Museum a few days ago.. I hope you enjoy. My walk to this museum was very interesting.. along the way, on buildings, there was art portraying his work with children’s faces photo shot into his work… very nicely done.. I have included a few of these pics. I am working on lining up my shots, thank you for your forgiveness for my off-centered pics.:)

Walk-about Saint Jean Cap Ferrat

Salut! This was a walk of beauty.. I walked from Beaulieu-sur-mer to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat (approx 2.5 mile).. stopped for a cappuccino, then found this very interesting walk-about, how could I resist?? It was amazing, they have a walk path all around this cap that is right on the edge of the ocean.. it was breath-taking.. I hope I caught the beauty with my pics. Enjoy!! XXOO

Home away from home.. Beaulieu-sur-Mer

Hi.. I know it’s been too long since i have blogged (is that a verb?). I am having a wonderful time, exploring any which way I go.. I am walking my soles off and enjoying it immensely. I am staying in a beautiful, warm town.. within 2 blocks from the ocean, shops galore (cafe, bakey, restaurants, fish, clothing, you name it).. I have enjoyed gorgeous weather. I wish you were all here. I have plans to visit Monaco/Monte Carlo tomorrow. Take care, XXOO.

The Louvre

Hi.. the highlight of my day was FaceTime with Taylor, Riley & Lyla, Thank you Taylor. I promised my girls a video of The Louvre.. I decided to go without my camera today (not a good ideal and not to be repeated).. so this is pretty short video. Bon journee

Domaine de Chantilly

This was a beautiful Chateau, 2nd best collection of French painting to The Louvre. This chateau also has a fabulous Musee du Cheval… known as the largest stable for horses in Europe … (I took many pics for my dear friend, Di, who has a special place in her heart for horses).

French Rivera it is!

I apologize I have not posted in several days.. I have been catching up with friends and family, enjoying promised visits, and preparing my taxes (Ugh).

I have had a merry-go-round finding places to call home in Barcelona and Portugal.. alas, my persistence was rewarded! I received very kind offers from both, but a funny thing happened… my mom suggested I re-visit the French Rivera… a few years ago we drove from Barcelona to Italy and made several short stops along the Rivera… it was beautiful and we wished we had more time there. WELL.. now my wish is coming true! While waiting for responses from Barcelona and Portugal properties I glanced through properties for Rivera and came across this wonderful place in Menton…
It has won the competition for the best city of flowers in France five different times. Its exceptional sunlight and the subtropical climate make Menton ideal for growing orange trees, lemon trees, palm trees, and mimosa. And you know what “mimosa” means??? Yes, CHAMPAGNE!!!

So after consulting with my Prima, who says “Yes! go with it.. this is an adventure so changing your mind must be the norm”… I have committed to spending March in Menton, France. I am so very excited.. I have lots of research to do (love doing travel research)… and I will sleep good tonight.
