Our train station was closed today.. no worries, there is a bus 100 that goes to Monaco.. I like taking the bus because you have an unhindered view of the spectacular coast.. beautiful. On arriving in their shopping district I was reminded of Rodeo Drive ~ baby.. but more of it. Shoppers beware, you will need several days to visit all the fabulous shops and boutiques here.
Monaco is a Principality of Monaco… according to Wikipedia “it is a sovereign city-state, country, and microstate on the French Riviera in Western Europe.” It is known for its luxurious casinos, opera house, harbors with yachts of every size and the famous Grand Prix motor race… and as I mentioned, streets filled with luxurious shops/boutiques, restaurants, hotels and night-clubs.
The inside of the Casino should not be missed… pay the $17 euro to enter inside the Casino and bask in bye-gone era, where staff wear tuxedos and tables are covered in creme linen, art … ceilings that are also a work of art. I had a very pleasant hour just people watching and enjoying a French Martini ~ Delicious! I really wasn’t expecting to enjoy Monaco as much as I did.. hope you enjoy my video.
Dear Comadre,
Have been enjoying your trip vicariously through your wonderful videos. Looks like you are having a fabulous time. Enjoy and be safe. I was soooo envious of all the casinos. Hope you are savoring a lot of champagne! Love you, Comadre xoxox
Salut! I found the “reply” feature. I KNOW you would love all the casinos here, there is one in every town.. I am sad to say that owner run caves are hard to find now, I found the street we stayed on when we visited and the cave we loved to shop at is closed, I almost cried. I did discover Cremante.. trying out all the flavors, you would be proud 🙂 LOL
Many thanks stating this short article and making it public
